American Idol Season 10 Finale

I’m thinking that tonight’s (May 24) American Idol Final is going to be drenched with some great country music. If you’ve been following along this season you know that Lauren Alaina is a country music star in the making and that Carrie Underwood is her musical hero. What’s going to be cool about tonight’s Idol show is that Carrie Underwood is picking one of Alaina’s three songs. Throughout the American Idol season, Alaina has covered such great country music artist such as Faith Hill, Shania Twain, Sara Evans, Perry, Lee Ann Womack, and Martina McBride. Did you notice that Carrie Underwood wasn’t in that list? Lauren has yet to cover her “hero” this whole Idol season, which makes me wonder if tonight will be the night in which she shreds a Carrie Underwood ballad….or two?

Her opponent is Scotty McCreery, who is himself a deep-voiced country music star just waiting to happen. George Strait is going to be picking one of his songs tonight and I’m curious to see what Scotty will bust out for finale as he has already done one George Strait tune. But we all know that George has a hit-list a country mile long. Nonetheless, tonight’s American Idol Final is going to be a country music fans heavenly oasis!
